beginnings

  1. In my quest to improve my knife skills I found a great book on sushi " by Hiroko Shimbo, a sushi chef, native of Japan, currently living in New York City. The book was wonderful and I was especially impressed that she had achieved such excellence in a field that had until very recently was reserved exclusively for men. She is an inspiration to me as is my own chef instructor, chef Sarah, master butcher.
